The development status of polyurethane foam in various industries!


Polyurethane foam is made of isocyanate and hydroxyl compound by polymerization foaming, which can be divided into soft and hard according to its hardness, of which soft is the main variety. 

Generally speaking, it has excellent elasticity, softness, elongation and compressive strength, good chemical stability, resistance to many solvents and oils, good wear resistance, 20 times larger than natural sponge. 

There are excellent processability, thermal insulation, adhesion and other properties. 

Emerging economies China and India are the main consumers of polyurethane foam and are characterized by an adequate supply of foaming machine raw materials and rapid expansion. 

Application of Polyurethane in Coatings. 

Polyurethane technology rose as early as in Germany. In 1937, Mr. Otto Bayer invented polyurethane, which laid the foundation of polyurethane chemistry and developed polyurethane technology suitable for different uses. 

Since 1955, Bayer has applied various monomers and polymerized isocyanates, polyether and acrylate in the production of polyurethane coatings. 

In 1965, anti-discoloration two-component polyurethane coatings were used in aircraft and train fuselages; in 1987, the Bayhydrol ó was used as a waterborne film-forming material; in 1994, the two-component polyurethane coatings were put into use as waterborne two-component polyurethane systems. 

Polyurethane coatings play a leading role in the wood coatings industry, accounting for 75% of the market share, followed by automotive repair paint, accounting for more than 40%. 

Polyurethane technology is also more and more widely used in anticorrosive coatings, plastic coatings and automotive paints, accounting for 10% of the market share. 

In recent years, polyurethane coatings are growing at a growth rate of 15%. 

Polyurethane foaming machine is inseparable from the heat in the process of operation, so how much does the temperature affect the polyurethane foaming agent? 

The foaming machine depends on heat to operate. With heat, the foaming agent will evaporate and produce foam. The heat comes from two aspects, one is the heat generated by chemical reactions, the other is provided by the environment. The former is fixed. 

Without the influence of external factors, the heat provided by the environment varies with the temperature of the environment. 

The temperature is very important to the polyurethane foaming machine, and the experimental results show that. 

The foaming volume at ambient temperature of 15 ℃ is 25% smaller than that of 25 ℃. On the other hand, a layer of hard skin which is not fully foamed or even foamed will be formed on the foam surface, which increases the foam perfusion and increases the foam production cost. 

Therefore, we should strictly grasp the environmental temperature factors in the process of operation.
